Launch of e-cabinet system a historic moment for Tripura: Chief Minister

Agartala September 27: E-cabinet launched in Tripura as the fourth state in the country. In order to make this campaign ‘Digital Bharat’ a success, the state government decided to introduce e-file and e-office system in all the departments of the state and took the initiative to implement it quickly. The state government has laid emphasis on expanding all possible measures to develop digital infrastructure across the state. 2 As part of digital infrastructure development, the state government has decided to launch the e-cabinet system.

All the Cabinet meetings held by the Chief Minister will be done online. Necessary advice will be given to concerned departments and offices through e-cabinet application. The e-cabinet system has been implemented making Cabinet memorandums and minutes completely paperless. Through this process, starting from the Chief Minister’s office, the concerned officers in charge of various departments, the Chief Secretary, the secretaries of various departments will be conducted through e-cabinet. Decisions of the relevant machinery and advice to the concerned departments will also be handled through e-cabinet. Privacy and security are given top priority in e-cabinet applications.

Only authorized users can use this application by logging in to authorize computers. All information including dates can be uploaded in all cabinet memorandums through this application. Speaking, the Chief Minister said that the launch of e-cabinet service will speed up the work. And all information will be protected. Only those who need the past information later will be able to extract the information from the computer. As a result, the chief minister expressed hope that work will be done in a mission mode. The introduction of this new system will bring efficiency and speed in the Cabinet meetings of the Ministers. This application will bring an additional level of security and privacy to the proceedings of the Council of Ministers. Through this service, it will be possible to monitor the speedy implementation of Cabinet decisions. A total of 94 departments are being trained in the state. Among them, 41 offices have been completed today. On the occasion, all the departments of the state government which have made e-office system 100 percent effective as part of the initiative to run paperless offices are felicitated. Certificates are handed over to the officials.
