Heavy rainfall has caused extensive damage in the Shantir Bazar Sub-division. Around 4 AM, a portion of a hill collapsed onto the house of Trisanku Chakma, a resident of Kachhap Chhara Para. Trisanku Chakma, his wife Ranjani Chakma, and their 12-year-old daughter Binita Chakma were buried alive under the debris while they were asleep.

Reports indicate that the poor condition of roads in the Debipur area has hindered administrative officials from reaching the scene promptly. In response, local residents have come together to assist in the rescue operation.

The community mourns the loss of the Chakma family and continues to support each other during this difficult time.
