Kailashahar Police Detain Two Rohingya Individuals for Illegal Border Crossing

Agartala: April 03: Acting on confidential information, Kailashahar police detained two Rohingya individuals on Thursday for allegedly crossing the international border from Bangladesh into Kailashahar illegally. Officer-in-Charge Sukanta Sen Chowdhury confirmed the incident, stating that the individuals had boarded an autorickshaw with the intention of traveling out of the state.

The police intercepted the autorickshaw near the college area in Kailashahar town while it was en route to Dharmanagar. Following a search, the two individuals were detained. A case has been filed against them under the Passport Act for illegal border crossing.
