Agartala: June 4, 2024 — In a collaborative effort between the Sonamura police station and the Border Security Force (BSF), a significant quantity of drug paraphernalia was seized late last night. Acting on confidential information, the police received a tip-off that substantial drug transactions were planned in the Tamsabari area.

In response, the police and BSF conducted a joint operation, resulting in the arrest of drug dealer Mushfiqur Rahman in Tamsabari. The recovered items include 3500 Yaba tablets, 14 grams of brown sugar, and 28 bottles of Phensidyl and Escoff syrup. A case has been registered against Rahman under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. He is scheduled to appear before the Sonamura court this afternoon.
