Intrusion into Tripura, three Bangladeshi nationals arrested

Agartala, March 25: BSF has arrested three Bangladeshi nationals in Tripura while joining private security guard jobs in Bengaluru through brokers. They have been handed over to the Tripura Police. The three Bangladeshi nationals were arrested in Gupinathpur village under Irani police station in Unkoti district. They have been identified as residents of Moulvibazar district of Bangladesh.

Irani Police Station OC Jatindra Das said that Abdul Goffar, Zeelan Mia and Saiful Islam were arrested by BSF on Friday afternoon. BSF handed them over to Irani Police Station around 2 am after a long interrogation at Lutiapura BOP. He said that the three Bangladeshi nationals entered Tripura by crossing the barbed wire fence to go to Bangalore through a broker from Gopinathpur village. Two mobile phones and cash of 2580 Bangladeshi taka were recovered from them. But, BSF managed to arrest them. Police have launched a search to trace the broker. Incidentally, in the last six months, around 10 Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested by Irani and Kailashahar police stations.
