ICFAI Tripura Launches AICTE-Approved Tech Courses

Agartala, May 9: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has granted approval to The ICFAI University Tripura for a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in engineering, management and computer applications, according to an official release issued on Saturday.

The approval marks a significant milestone for the university in strengthening professional and technical education in Tripura and the Northeast region. The newly approved programmes are aimed at enhancing industry-oriented learning, skill development and employability among students.

As part of the approval, the university will offer several Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes, including Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Approval has also been granted for the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) programme.

At the postgraduate level, AICTE has approved Master of Technology (MTech) programmes in Civil Engineering with specialisations in Structural Engineering and Water Resource Engineering, along with MTech in Computer Science and Engineering. The university has also received approval for the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme.

In the field of management education, the university will offer Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes under the AICTE-approved framework.

University authorities stated that the institution would place strong emphasis on practical learning, innovation, research and professional development through these programmes. The courses are expected to integrate academic knowledge with industry requirements to prepare students for evolving career opportunities in technology, engineering and management sectors.

The university further noted that the AICTE approval reflects its commitment to maintaining quality standards in higher education and expanding access to professional courses in the state. Officials expressed confidence that the approved programmes would help students gain competitive skills and contribute to regional development through quality technical and management education.

The ICFAI University Tripura has been actively working to expand its academic offerings and strengthen collaborations with industry and academic partners to create a robust learning ecosystem for students.
