Agartala: Jan 21: The body of a student was found hanging in the Tripura Sports Council hostel at Badar Ghat, creating a tense situation on the premises. The police identified the deceased as Alisa Debbarma, a sixth-grade student of Agartala Sports School. Her body was discovered inside the hostel, and the police were informed. Upon arrival, they recovered the body and suspect that the student committed suicide in her hostel room the previous night.
The student’s family members and friends arrived at the hostel this morning, raising questions about her death. They allege that they were prevented from entering the hostel, leading to their agitation. The family has demanded a thorough investigation of the CCTV footage to ascertain the cause of death.
