Agartala, January 30: Gandhiji’s non-violence and mass movement towards peace in the country’s freedom struggle should be taken as an inspiration. State Congress president Ashish Kumar Saha said this today on Mahatma Gandhi’s 76th martyrdom day.

Incidentally, the 76th Martyrdom Day of Mahatma Gandhi was held at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan. Party leaders including Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha were present on this day.

On this day Shri Saha said, Gandhiji played an important role in the freedom struggle. It should be taken as an inspiration to lead the country and involve the countrymen in the freedom struggle and the non-violence and peaceful mass movement of Gandhiji to achieve the country’s freedom.

He also said that on this day, this day is celebrated as Martyr’s Day all over the country.
