Five Youths Arrested in Drug Bust: 14 Grams of Brown Sugar Seized

Agartala: May 20: In a significant operation, the police apprehended five youths involved in drug trafficking. Acting on a tip-off received on Sunday night, officers conducted a raid at Gandhi School Square. During the operation, a team led by Tannakar Chowdhury successfully detained three youths attempting to sell drugs in the P area. A total of 14 grams of brown sugar were recovered from them.

Further investigation led to the arrest of two additional youths from Women’s College Square. Along with the arrests, the police seized two bikes, Rs 25,000 in cash, and five mobile phones. A case has been registered against the suspects under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. They are scheduled to appear in court today for police remand.
