Agartala, Aug 14: The Tripura Police has earned national recognition ahead of Independence Day, with five personnel selected for the prestigious Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) among the honours announced by the Centre.
The five awardees are SP Amitabh Pal, Havildar Shishuranjan Chowdhury, Subedar Sanjib Patra, Naik Md. Moharram Ali and Constable Mrinal Debbarma.
Their names were included in the state-wise list of medal recipients released by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The Independence Day honours recognise deserving personnel serving in police, fire, home guard and civil defence, and correctional services across the country.
