Agartala: On Wednesday, the Congress party in Tripura organized a program to commemorate the Quit India Movement, which was launched on August 9th by Mahatma Gandhi. During the program, the state Congress president paid tribute to the martyrs at Gandhi Ghat. He highlighted the significance of August 9th, when Mahatma Gandhi called for the Quit India Movement, sparking a nationwide struggle against British rule. He noted that people from various walks of life, including farmers, workers, and youth, united to fight against colonial oppression.
