Agartala: Mar 09: MP Biplab Kumar Deb claimed that Tripura has witnessed unprecedented development under the BJP government. Speaking at a public meeting today, he stated that such progress was unattainable during the communist rule, but under the leadership of the BJP and Prime Minister Modi, Tripura has entered a golden era.
He highlighted that while the previous government provided 48,000 houses, the current administration has delivered approximately 4,70,000 houses. Additionally, the state’s national road network has seen significant improvements through projects worth Rs 22,000 crore, transforming previously challenging routes.
Biplab Deb noted that farmers’ per capita income has increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 13,000. He also emphasized the advancements in rail connectivity, as well as the development of housing and road infrastructure across the state.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Manik Saha, Rs 27,000 crore has been allocated for the state’s development, contributing significantly to national progress. He criticized the previous government for disappointing the people and described the current administration as a true example of Tripura’s development.
The MP also commented on the Communist Party’s exploitation of the state’s tribal population, stating that protests have decreased since the BJP came to power. He claimed that tribal extremists have surrendered and now peacefully enjoy their rights under the BJP government, which has provided various facilities for tribal communities.
Biplab Deb further mentioned several tribal development projects initiated by the state government, asserting that the BJP is working to enhance their standard of living.
