Agartala: July 30: The All India Kisan Sabha’s Tripura state committee has submitted a deputation to the Water Resources Department, urging the immediate activation of irrigation pump machines.

According to Pabitra Kar, the state committee’s secretary, the Aman season is currently underway. However, due to water scarcity and insufficient rainfall, agricultural lands are drying up, severely affecting irrigation sources. Consequently, farmers are unable to commence their cultivation work, which could lead to an agricultural crisis.
