New Delhi, Nov 1: In a significant political development, former Tripura Minister Manindra Reang has officially joined the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) during a major event held in New Delhi. Recognizing his long-standing political experience, dedication, and people-centric approach, the party’s national leadership has appointed him as the President of RLD’s Tripura State Unit.
Expressing his views after joining the party, Reang said, “I have joined the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) with the vision of ensuring the development, peace, and self-governance of the tribal and underprivileged people of Tripura. I will sincerely discharge the responsibilities entrusted to me by the party.”
The event witnessed the presence of RLD leaders and supporters from various districts of Tripura, who expressed their excitement and optimism over Reang’s inclusion. His joining is seen as a major boost for the party’s organizational expansion in the northeastern state.
Reang further announced that preparations for the upcoming Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections have already begun. He emphasized that the RLD will focus on strengthening its grassroots organization, building leadership at the village level, and drafting a concrete development roadmap for the tribal regions of the state.
Party sources said that Reang’s experience in governance and his deep connection with tribal communities will help the RLD establish a strong political foothold in Tripura.
