Agartala: July 04: In preparation for the upcoming Panchayat elections, a significant reshuffle within the Defense Department has commenced across the state. Under the authority of SK Debbarma, Deputy Secretary to the State Government, one IPS officer and four TPS (Tripura Police Service) officers of Great One and Great Two ranks have been reassigned.

IPS L Darlong transferred from Commandant of the 3rd Battalion, TSR (Tripura State Rifles) to AIGP (Additional Inspector General of Police), Tripura. H. Sunga Darlong Appointed as Commandant of the 3rd Battalion of TSR, moving from the position of AIGP, Tripura. Dulal Chandra Dutta Shifted from SDP (Sub-Divisional Police Officer) and Sadar to Vishalgarh. He will now serve as the SDPO (Sub-Divisional Police Officer) of Bishalgarh. TPS Pannalal Sen Promoted from Bishalgarh SDPO to Deputy SP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) of SB (Special Branch). TPS Durba Prasad Roy  Elevated from Deputy SP of SB to Sadar SDP. These changes aim to optimize departmental efficiency and ensure effective administration during the electoral process.
