May 10 – On the 11th day of the Ram Ultramarathon from Somnath to Ayodhya, ultrarunner Narendra Singh continued his incredible journey, drawing national attention and spiritual support from across the country. Covering nearly 60 km daily, Singh has displayed extraordinary endurance, determination, and devotion as he runs across multiple states with the aim of completing the distance between the two sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites.
The ultramarathon, which began at the Somnath Temple in Gujarat, is not just a test of physical endurance but also a symbolic tribute to Lord Ram. The run is intended to spiritually and culturally connect Somnath, associated with Lord Shiva, to Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, where the newly constructed Ram Mandir has become a center of devotion and national pride.
Narendra Singh, seasoned ultramarathoner, is being cheered on by locals and pilgrims along the route. He has so far passed through key cities and rural areas, where people have lined the roads with chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” offering water, food, and words of encouragement. Despite high temperatures and challenging terrain, Singh has maintained his pace and spirit, motivated by a deep sense of faith.
On Day 11, Singh crossed through parts of Rajasthan, with security and medical teams ensuring his safety and well-being. Local authorities have extended support to facilitate smooth passage.
Speaking to reporters, Singh expressed gratitude for the overwhelming public support and reiterated his commitment to complete the run in honor of Ram Rajya and national unity.
The journey is expected to take over a month, with Singh targeting a triumphant arrival in Ayodhya before the end of May. His run continues to inspire countless devotees and fitness enthusiasts across India.
