Agartala: Feb 12: While campaigning ahead of assembly elections, while opening the party office and going to various programs, the supporters of CPIM and Congress are constantly being attacked by the BJP. Meanwhile, CPI(M) workers were attacked on Saturday at Shantir Bazar CPI party office and at different places of Shantir Bazar subdivision.On the basis of this complaint, the supporters of CPI(M) and Congress workers held a protest program on Sunday by besieging the Shantir Bazar police station and demanding an exemplary peace by arresting those involved in the incident for proper functioning of the prosecution. CPI(M) workers appealed to the police to act in the fight against terrorism. Later CPI(M) workers from Shantir Bazar police station calmed down the supporters and everyone returned from the police station. After the protest program at the police station, a public relations program was held with CPI nominated candidate Satyajit Reang in different places of Shantir Bazar city. Through this program, a special appeal was made to win the CPI nominated candidate in the Shantir Bazar Assembly constituency with a large number of votes in the upcoming assembly elections for the overall development of the state and restoration of democracy. A great enthusiasm was noticed among the supporters of CPI(M) and Congress workers present in this programme.
