Agartala, April 13: Tripura Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha on Monday expressed strong confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s prospects in the recently concluded ADC elections, following a key organizational meeting at the party’s state headquarters.

Addressing reporters after the बैठक, Dr. Saha said the BJP remains optimistic about securing victory based on initial feedback received from across constituencies. He noted that holding review meetings immediately after polling is a long-standing party practice aimed at collecting ground-level inputs from booth agents and candidates. “The analysis so far is in favour of the Bharatiya Janata Party,” he stated, adding that preparations and strategies for the counting day were also discussed in detail.

Responding to demands for repolling in certain ADC seats, the Chief Minister clarified that the decision lies solely with the State Election Commission. “If the Election Commission deems it necessary, we are fully prepared for repolling,” he said.

On reports of sporadic violence during polling, Dr. Saha underlined that the responsibility for conducting elections rests with the Election Commission during the voting process. He further remarked that the use of muscle power and intimidation cannot win public trust or ensure electoral success.

The meeting was attended by senior party leaders, including state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee. Discussions also focused on strengthening grassroots outreach, accelerating developmental initiatives, and reinforcing the party’s ideological connect with the public. Bhattacharjee emphasized the need to intensify organizational efforts and build stronger engagement with citizens across the state.
