Agartala: Feb 07: CITU has raised its voice in protest against the central government’s anti-labor, anti-farmer, and anti-people policies. Today, a procession started from the party district office at Melarmath and, after touring various roads of the city, it gathered for a meeting at Kaman Chaumuhani.
While addressing journalists, Manik Dey stated that, as per the instructions of the CITU central leadership, a protest rally was organized in Agartala today against the central government’s policies. He criticized the central budget of 2025, describing it as unfavorable for the common people.
He alleged that funds have been reduced in several sectors, including education, health, labor, and rural development. He claimed that the budget money is tactfully spent for the benefit of the rich, leaving no scope for employment of the unemployed. CITU has voiced its opposition to this budget, calling it anti-people and monopolistic, designed to benefit capitalists.
