According to family sources, the missing woman has been identified as Saurabi Bhumij (23), wife of Karan Kol (26), son of Dulal Kol. The couple resides under Ward No. 4 of Churaibari Panchayat and has been working at a local stone crusher for several years to earn their livelihood. At the time of her disappearance, Saurabi was five months pregnant and also the mother of a three-year-old daughter.

On Monday afternoon, Saurabi reportedly left home alone to visit the Kadamtala Social Health Centre for a routine medical check-up. Until the afternoon, she remained in regular contact with her husband over the phone. However, after around 3:00 PM, her mobile phone was switched off, and all communication with her abruptly stopped. Since then, her whereabouts have remained unknown.

Growing increasingly worried, Karan Kol spent the entire night searching nearby areas and making inquiries with friends, relatives, and acquaintances. Despite extensive efforts, no information about his wife could be traced. Left with no alternative, he approached Churaibari Police Station the following day and lodged a missing diary, seeking police assistance to locate her.

Police sources confirmed that a missing person case has been registered and efforts are underway to trace the woman. Local residents have also joined the search, expressing concern over the safety of the pregnant woman.

Speaking to the media, a visibly distressed Karan Kol appealed to the public for help, urging anyone who may have seen his wife or has any information regarding her whereabouts to come forward. He shared his contact number, 9612933271, requesting immediate information.

The disappearance of the pregnant woman has raised serious concern in the area, with the family hoping for her safe and early return.
