Chief Minister inaugurates 87th police station of the state in North district

Agartala September 28: State Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha visited North District with a bunch of plans on Thursday. After the inauguration of Baghbasa Police Station, he moved to Jaipur Higher Secondary School. The Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed two-storied building there.

From there he left to lay the foundation stone of the second building of Kalachara Higher Secondary School. On this occasion, the Chief Minister was accompanied by Bagbasa Constituency MLA Yadav Lal Debnath, Panisagar Constituency MLA Binay Bhushan Das, Kalachhra Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Tinku Sharma, State TIDC Chairman Nabadul Banik, Unakoti District Superintendent of Police Kanta Jahangir, North District Magistrate Nagesh Kumar B, North District Education Commissioner Sanath Kumar Nath and students and parents. The chief minister inaugurated the program by donating water to the trees.

Speaking, the Chief Minister said that students are the artisans of the future. The government is determined to provide them with adequate facilities. The government is doing whatever it takes to provide them with real education. The construction of the two-storied building, which is starting, will cost about Rs.9 crore. This school started running in 1949. Prime Minister Narendra Modi knows that without the development of the North-East, the whole of India cannot progress. Therefore, the government is giving special importance in the field of education and communication. Later, the Chief Minister launched another police outpost in the form of Purang Thana in the northern district. While inaugurating the Bagbasa Police Station, the Chief Minister said that the state of Tripura has been placed among the five states in terms of law and order among the 28 states of India. Since the 2023 elections, law and order in the state has improved tremendously. The Chief Minister also said that this government does not want to remain in power by deteriorating law and order. The by-election was expected by the opposition to see a final breakdown of law and order, but the election was completed without any untoward incident. On this day, Yadav Lal Debnath provided an eco car to this police station at his own expense to speed up the work of the government. The Chief Minister said that the police will play a major role in stopping human trafficking in the area of the station.
