Agartala: August 30: The Chhattisgarh government has announced financial assistance to the Tripura government following the severe floods in the state. A sum of ₹15 crores has been allocated to aid Tripura in its relief and rehabilitation efforts. This announcement was made by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on social media today.
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha expressed his gratitude for the timely support, thanking the Chhattisgarh government and its people for their solidarity during this challenging period. Other notable figures, including Minister Ratan Lal Nath, State BJP President Rajiv Bhattacharya, former minister Pratima Bhoumik, and Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumdar, also conveyed their appreciation.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel highlighted the extensive financial losses suffered by Tripura due to heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding. He emphasized the importance of standing together in times of crisis and reiterated Chhattisgarh’s commitment to supporting Tripura.
In response, Chief Minister Manik Saha, on behalf of the people of Tripura, thanked Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and the Chhattisgarh government for their assistance. He expressed optimism about overcoming the disaster with collective efforts and returning to the path of development.
Minister Ratan Lal Nath, State BJP President Rajiv Bhattacharya, former minister Pratima Bhoumik, and Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumdar echoed these sentiments, expressing their gratitude for the support extended by Chhattisgarh.
