Amarpur, 17th of December 2023.
Aimong to create drugs free Tripura state the BSF is gaining appreciable achievement in narcotics business prevention. Border Security Force in a series of continuous operations today also launched an operations against illegal Ganja cultivation. BSF in a joint operation with CRPF, Narcotics Control Bureau, Tripura police and forest department destroyed approx. 18,000 immature Ganja plants being cultivated illegally in the general area of Hataliya under Police Station PR Bari.  Approx 4.5 acres of land has been cleared by cutting, uprooting and burning of the plants.
This season till date total 5,47,900 plants have been destroyed in different parts of the state and many acres of forest land has been reclaimed.
BSF’s persistent and concerted efforts and endeavors in close coordination with sister agencies will certainly bring a change in the society.
