Bomb Attack on CPI(M) Worker’s House Causes Stir

Agartala: Jan 05: A bomb attack at the residence of a CPI(M) worker has caused a stir in the Ananga Nagar area of the Barjala Legislative Assembly constituency. The incident occurred at the home of Tapan Saha, a supporter of the opposition party, on Saturday night. According to reports, miscreants threw a bomb towards Tapan Saha’s house, but it did not hit the house directly. Instead, it exploded after hitting the wall of the building.

The blast caused significant damage to the wall and an electrical pole nearby. Following the explosion, local residents alerted the authorities, and on Sunday morning, the area’s MLA, Sudip Sarkar, rushed to the Airport Police Station to file a complaint. Speaking to the media, he expressed his concern that the miscreants were trying to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the area with such an attack.

Sarkar emphasized the importance of arresting the culprits and ensuring they face appropriate legal consequences. He urged the police to take swift action against those responsible for this criminal act. The incident has raised concerns about political tensions in the region, and the local authorities are investigating the matter further.
