Agartala: Mar 03: A dead body was recovered from the pond. The incident happened on Friday in Rakhiram Para area of Belonia Manurmukh. Around nine o’clock in the morning on Friday, local people saw the dead body floating in the pond and reported to the Belonia police station. The police rushed to the news. The body was recovered from the water of the pond. The name of the recovered dead person is Sanju Tripura. Age 35 years. The deceased was a laborer by profession. Injuries were also found in Sanju Tripura’s body.

Sanju Tripura is believed to have been murdered even though there is doubt as to how she died. The relatives of the deceased along with local residents alleged that due to family dispute, Sanju Tripura’s wife and his son killed Sanju and threw him in the pond. Allegedly, the purpose was to destroy evidence. The forensic team was informed. Forensic team reached the spot and started investigation. Police detained Sanju Tripura’s wife and son and took them to Belonia police station for questioning. Meanwhile, the police sent the body of Sanju Tripura to Belonia Hospital for post-mortem. The body will be handed over to the family after post-mortem on Saturday. According to the police, after the post-mortem, it will be clear how the death happened.
