Tripura BJP MLA was allegedly caught on camera watching porn videos in mobile in the floor of the Assembly.
A video clip has gone viral in which Jadab Lal Nath, a second time MLA with the ruling party ticket from Bagbasa constituency in northern Tripura was caught watching porn video during the Assembly session that concluded three days ago.
Meantime, Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Biswabandhu Sen, said that as of now he has not received any written complaint against the said MLA Jadab Lal Nath, and on the basis of social media posts he cannot pass comments or take any decision.
He added that until he gets any written complaint and without examining the matter he can not pass or take any decision.
Moreover, the Speaker added that after he receives any complaint then we will see and as per the system, rules and procedures work on it.
The Opposition CPIM and Congress condemned the incident and demanded the Speaker and the BJP party to take action against the MLA.
Former Deputy Speaker and CPIM senior leader Pabitra Kar said that no member of the House is allowed to using mobile without permission of the Chair but hear the video what the MLA was watching is very much objectionable.
Kar said that the Speaker should declare an enquiry into the matter and take appropriate legal action against MLA Jadab Lal Nath who is a former CPIM leader but was expelled from the party in connection to some women related issues before taken by the BJP.
Meantime, former MLA and senior Congress leader Asish Kumar Saha demanded that the Speaker of the Assembly suspend the alleged MLA on the ground that earlier in similar incident of some MLA or the MP caught watching pornography during the session have been suspended.
He added that the Speaker should take tough action against the MLA under the People’s Representatives Act.
Reportedly the BJP Tripura has asked the alleged MLA Nath to clarify the matter at the earliest.
