The apprehension was carried out by jawans of the 75th Battalion during routine vigilance along the border area. The individual was subsequently handed over to the West Agartala Police Station for further legal action and investigation.

Confirming the development, Officer-in-Charge Rana Chatterjee identified the accused as Shoaib Miya. He stated that the detained individual will be produced before a local court on Tuesday, where police will seek his remand to facilitate detailed interrogation.

According to officials, investigators are particularly focused on determining how the individual managed to cross the international border undetected and whether he was assisted by any local contacts or organized networks. The interrogation is expected to shed light on possible routes, methods, and links involved in the illegal entry.

The incident has once again raised concerns regarding border security and the potential existence of cross-border networks that aid unauthorized movement. Authorities have emphasized that such cases are taken seriously and are subject to strict legal scrutiny.

Police officials have assured that a thorough and comprehensive probe is underway to establish the full circumstances and intent behind the crossing. They also reiterated their commitment to maintaining vigilance and strengthening coordination with border security agencies to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Further developments are awaited as the investigation progresses.
