Agartala, Tripura – Sept 03: In a surprising turn of events, the ruling BJP is expected to receive two votes from Left MLAs in the ongoing Rajya Sabha by-elections, according to Minister Ratan Lal Nath.

Minister Exudes Confidence in BJP’s Victory

Nath claimed that BJP’s nominated candidate, Rajiv Bhattacharya, will win the Rajya Sabha seat with a significant margin. “The BJP, along with its allies Tipra Matha and IPFT, will secure a total of 47 votes,” he said.

Possible Defection from Left MLAs

The minister’s statement suggests that two Left MLAs may cross over to vote in favor of the BJP candidate, dealing a blow to the opposition. This potential defection could further bolster the BJP’s chances of winning the by-election.

Voting Underway, Results Awaited

The voting process for the Rajya Sabha by-election is currently underway, and the results are eagerly anticipated. If the BJP secures the two votes from Left MLAs as claimed, it would be a significant victory for the party.
