Agartala July 13: Banks Please Federation Tripura staged a demonstration in Mantribari Road area of the capital on Thursday demanding filling up of vacant posts in all the national banks. Their complaint is that the government has decided to appoint only four out of 11 state-owned banks. The remaining seven banks will not be appointed.
But all the nationalized banks including the remaining seven banks have lakhs of vacancies. And the vacant posts that are lying are getting lost. As a result banks are not able to serve the customers properly. The most surprising thing is that those who are looting the bank money are being given benefits, but common customers and bank employees are not being given benefits by the central government. Only retrenchment is going on for privatisation. But once privatization is done like this, there will be no guarantee of people keeping their money in banks. will be looted. Then capitalists will claim bank ownership. So like the rest of the country today the state banks have taken the decision of this movement. They said that this movement program is part of it. Since Narendra Modi’s government came to power in the country, so far 2 lakh 70 thousand vacancies have been vacated in government agencies. Saurabh Prasad Chakraborty, member of the Central Committee of the Bank Employees Federation said that there is no new appointment.
