Bangladeshi Woman Detained by Agartala GRP Station Police

Agartala: Feb 26: A Bangladeshi woman has been detained by the Agartala GRP (Government Railway Police) station police. Tapas Das, OC (Officer-in-Charge) of Agartala GRP station, stated that on Tuesday afternoon, the RPF (Railway Protection Force), BSF (Border Security Force), and Agartala GRP station police conducted a joint operation and detained the woman from Agartala railway station.

During interrogation, the detained woman identified herself as Jasmin Khatun, aged 24. She disclosed that her home is in Tangail, Bangladesh, and that she had entered the state of Tripura illegally. She had come to Agartala railway station with the intention of traveling to Kolkata. A specific case has been registered against her.

On Wednesday, the Agartala GRP station police produced the detained woman in court.
