Assam Government Extends Support to Flood-Affected Tripura

Agartala: Sept 01: In a significant humanitarian gesture, the Assam government has extended its support to the flood-affected state of Tripura. On Sunday morning, Assam’s Tourism Minister, Jayanta Malla Barua, handed over a cheque of 5 crore rupees to Tripura’s Chief Minister, Professor Dr. Manik Saha. This financial aid, provided by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and the Assam government, aims to assist in the ongoing flood relief efforts.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha xpressed his sincere gratitude to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and the Assam government for their timely assistance. He shared the news on social media, highlighting the importance of such support in aiding the flood-affected people of Tripura.

Additionally, Chief Ministers from several other states, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Arunachal Pradesh, have also extended financial assistance to bolster the flood relief work in Tripura. The central government has announced a financial package to further support the relief efforts.
