Agartala, October 3: The Agartala Municipal Corporation demolished the illegally built shops on government land on both sides of the road. The encroached shops were demolished in the GB Bazar area this morning. In this regard, Mayor Deepak Majumdar said that this step has been taken to lengthen the road to GB Bazar and decongest Agartala city.

On this day, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumder said that shops have been illegally built on government land on both sides of the road. The illegal occupiers had already been asked several times to demolish or vacate the construction. But many did not pay attention to it. From then till Dugapuja the illegally occupied premises will be vacated.

On this day, he also said that in the past, those who were in charge of Agartala Municipal Corporation did not do their work properly. Agartala Municipal Corporation is functioning after the formation of the government in the state after 2018. According to him, GB market road needs to be lengthened, so today the shop has been demolished with bulldozers.
