Agartala, Feb 25: Allegations have been raised against Tofazzal Hossain, the MLA of Boxnagar constituency, for allegedly disrupting the concentration of students during the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education. The incident occurred at Nagar High School on February 24, 2025, the first day of the examination.

It is reported that the MLA was present at the examination center and attempted to distract students by standing among them and raising their hands repeatedly. Concerns have been raised regarding the involvement of the local education department and the Tripura Board of Secondary Education in this incident, as typically, no unauthorized individuals are allowed inside examination centers, including parents.

The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has strongly protested against the MLA’s unauthorized entry. The organization has demanded that legal action be taken against Tofazzal Hossain if the education department and the secondary education board did not permit his entry. NSUI is calling for legal punishment and has urged the education department and the board to file a case against the MLA.
