Agartala Faces Flooding After Light Rain

Agartala: Oct 21: On Monday, Agartala city experienced flooding due to light rain. Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu visited a flood control auto-prime mobile pumping unit in the Banmalipur area to inspect its functionality. During his visit, he interacted with the workers, accompanied by the Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Shailesh Kumar Yadav.

Following the inspection, the Governor praised the city’s water drainage system, noting its effectiveness in quickly removing floodwater. However, he emphasized the need for repairs to the drainage infrastructure and mentioned that he had discussed this issue with the relevant officials.
