Minor dies because of Drug overdose

A-15-year old youth allegedly died because of drug overdose on October 24. The deceased has been identified as Prasanta Tripura, a resident of Jamercherra area that falls under the limits of Dhumacherra police station in Longtharai Valley.

Dharmanagar: A-15-year old youth allegedly died because of drug overdose on October 24. The deceased has been identified as Prasanta Tripura, a resident of Jamercherra area that falls under the limits of Dhumacherra police station in Longtharai Valley. According to available information, the youth Prasanta Tripura is a student of Kathalcherra Holy Cross School. On October 20 last, he ventured out of his home for pandal hopping but did not return. The anxious parents waited for two days but on October 23 lodged an FIR with the local police station. One of the family members while searching for him came to know that the deceased was a drug addict on October 20 he went to local Forest Quarter areas for taking drugs. As the information reached police, a team of cops rushed to the spot and recovered the mortal remains of the minor yesterday. Police said, the mortal remains had been sent for autopsy while his friend who divulged the whereabouts of the dead body is detained for interrogation.
