Agartala, July 24: Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Friday reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to ensuring transparent, efficient and citizen-friendly public services while reviewing the progress of developmental works in the Ranirbazar Municipal Council.
Chairing a review meeting at the conference hall of the Ranirbazar Municipal Council, the Minister assessed the status of various civic infrastructure and public welfare projects being implemented in the municipal area. The meeting was attended by the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the municipal council, elected representatives, municipal officials and local leaders.
The review focused on evaluating the progress of ongoing development initiatives, identifying challenges affecting project implementation and discussing future opportunities to improve civic infrastructure and public service delivery. Officials also presented updates on various works being carried out under different government schemes.
During the meeting, Chowdhury emphasized the importance of completing all development projects within the stipulated time while maintaining quality standards. He said timely execution of public welfare schemes is essential to ensure that residents receive the intended benefits without unnecessary delays.
The Minister instructed municipal officials and other stakeholders to work with sincerity, coordination and a strong sense of responsibility in implementing government programmes. He stressed that efficient coordination among departments is crucial for improving governance and delivering quality civic amenities to the people.
Highlighting the government’s focus on transparency and accountability, Chowdhury said public institutions must remain responsive to the needs of citizens and ensure that all services are delivered in a fair, efficient and transparent manner. He urged officials to adopt a proactive approach in addressing public grievances and resolving issues related to civic infrastructure.
Reiterating the state government’s development agenda, the Minister said the administration remains committed to accelerating infrastructure development and strengthening urban governance across Tripura. He added that the government is working to improve municipal services through better planning, effective implementation and regular monitoring of development projects.
The meeting concluded with directions to officials to closely monitor ongoing works, maintain coordination with all stakeholders and ensure that development initiatives are implemented efficiently. The Minister expressed confidence that sustained efforts by the administration and local bodies would help meet public expectations and contribute to the overall development of the Ranirbazar Municipal Council area.
