Indra Sena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the celebrations of the Ram Navami festival at the Shri Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Seva Mandir on Friday morning, marking the beginning of the auspicious occasion with traditional fervour and devotion.
The Governor attended the inaugural ceremony held at Baisnab Tilla in Amtali, Agartala, where a large number of devotees gathered to participate in the celebrations. The event commenced with religious rituals, prayers, and chanting of hymns dedicated to Lord Ram, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
During the programme, the Governor offered prayers and sought blessings for the well-being, peace, and prosperity of the people of the state. He also appreciated the efforts of the temple committee and organizers for making elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the festival.
Addressing the gathering briefly, Governor Nallu highlighted the significance of Ram Navami, which commemorates the birth of Lord Ram and symbolizes the victory of righteousness over evil. He emphasized the importance of upholding moral values, unity, and harmony in society, drawing inspiration from the life and ideals of Lord Ram.
The temple premises were beautifully decorated with flowers and lights, while devotees participated in bhajans and other devotional activities. Special arrangements were made for the distribution of prasad among the attendees.
Organizers informed that a series of religious and cultural programmes will be held over the course of the festival, attracting devotees from different parts of the state. Security arrangements were also put in place to ensure the safety and convenience of visitors.
The inauguration ceremony set a devotional tone for the Ram Navami celebrations in the region, with participation from local residents, devotees, and officials, reflecting the cultural and spiritual vibrancy of Tripura.
