As per the notification, the draft electoral rolls for all District Council constituencies will be published on February 27, 2026. Following the release of the draft rolls, citizens will be given time until March 6 to submit claims and objections regarding inclusion, deletion, or correction of entries. The scrutiny and disposal of these claims and objections will be carried out on March 10.

The final electoral rolls are scheduled to be published on March 13, 2026, paving the way for the conduct of the much-anticipated Council elections. The publication of the rolls marks the formal beginning of the election process for the autonomous tribal body.

Officials stated that the electoral rolls are being prepared based on the State Assembly voter lists that were finalised on October 1, 2025. This step is aimed at maintaining uniformity and consistency across constituencies while ensuring that eligible voters are accurately reflected in the rolls.

The entire process will be conducted in accordance with the provisions laid down under the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council Rules, 1985. Authorities emphasized that due procedure, transparency and adherence to legal norms will be strictly maintained throughout the revision process.

With the schedule now in place, political activities in the tribal areas are expected to gradually gain momentum as stakeholders prepare for the upcoming elections to the TTAADC.
