Dr. Saha made the remarks during the inauguration of the newly constructed building of Madhu Chowdhury Para XII School in Mohanpur and virtually inaugurating Tarapur XII School, Gopalnagar XII School, and Berimura XII School. The ceremony was held at the Madhu Chowdhury Para XII School grounds.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said, “Before 2018, no significant development was observed in education, health, or other sectors. We had to work harder due to the heavy financial burden and pending cases left by the previous government. Our administration aims to develop all sections of society, with special emphasis on tribal communities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also highlighted tribal development, noting that Tripura is home to 19 tribal groups out of 700 across the country.”

Dr. Saha highlighted the recognition of tribal achievers, stating that from 2019 to 2024, seven prominent personalities from Tripura’s tribal community received the Padma Shri award. He also referenced the appointment of Draupadi Murmu, a tribal woman, as President of India, emphasizing that the government’s nationalist agenda focuses on inclusive development.

The Chief Minister further highlighted that about ₹20.64 crore has been invested in the development of the four schools. He emphasized that education extends beyond textbooks, encouraging students to engage in sports and other activities, while noting that knowledge empowers individuals to overcome ignorance and address social challenges.

“Development, especially for tribal and marginalized communities, ensures fair opportunities, allowing them to shape the state’s future. Education will be the key to progress,” he added.

The event was attended by Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Lefunga BAC Chairman Ranbir Debbarma, Vice Chairman Budhu Debbarma, Hejamara BAC Vice Chairman Nihar Ranjan Debbarma, Education Director N. C. Sharma, and other dignitaries.
