In a shocking case of judicial fraud, two individuals have been arrested for allegedly submitting forged documents in the Dharmanagar court to secure bail for a Bangladeshi national. The accused, identified as Duple Nath and Sanjib Malakar, were taken into custody on Tuesday following a court directive.
According to official sources, Duple Nath, a government employee under the Health Department, allegedly presented a fake salary slip to support the bail plea. Nath is currently posted at the Bhagyapur Sub-Centre under the Brajendranagar Primary Health Centre and resides in Gobindapur, within the Dharmanagar subdivision. Sanjib Malakar is accused of assisting in the preparation and submission of the falsified documents during the proceedings.
The revelation has sparked serious concern across the region, raising questions about the misuse of official documents and the integrity of judicial processes. Locals and officials alike have condemned the incident, calling for strong deterrent measures to prevent such breaches in the future.
The Dharmanagar Police, under the leadership of Additional Officer-in-Charge Dulal Chandra Das, have initiated a thorough investigation to trace the source of the forged documents and identify any potential network or accomplices involved in the act.
Authorities have assured that strict legal action will be taken against all those found guilty. The case has underscored the urgent need for enhanced document verification mechanisms and accountability among public servants, as the probe continues to uncover further details surrounding the attempted judicial manipulation.
