Udaipur, April 7, 2025:The donation boxes at the revered Mata Tripureshwari Temple—one of the 51 Shakti Peethas—were opened today under the supervision of the Gomati district administration. The process, conducted as per the instructions of the District Magistrate, began early in the morning and is expected to continue until around 9 PM due to the large volume of offerings.
A special 18-member team was formed to carry out the counting and documentation of the donations. Today, 14 donation boxes along with a large iron safe were opened for counting.
According to initial reports, various foreign currencies were found among the offerings, including denominations from Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan. This indicates that the temple continues to attract devotees and tourists not only from across India but also from neighboring countries.
The temple authorities see this as a positive sign of growing international interest in the Tripureshwari Temple, which holds immense religious and cultural significance in Hinduism. The presence of foreign currency suggests a steady increase in foreign footfall, boosting religious tourism in the state.
The previous count was conducted on April 24, 2025. With the current inflow of devotees and offerings, the temple administration expects the total collection to be substantial.
Officials also hinted at further infrastructural developments to accommodate the rising number of pilgrims in the coming months. Enhanced facilities, better security, and smoother crowd management are on the agenda to ensure a seamless experience for visitors.
As counting continues late into the evening, the final tally will provide clearer insights into the volume of donations received and the temple’s growing significance as a spiritual destination across borders.
