Speaking at the event, Dr. Saha emphasized that the current administration is focused on comprehensive development with special attention to the welfare of Janajati communities and the upliftment of public infrastructure. “Our government is committed to improving the quality of life for all citizens, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat,” he said.

Among the projects inaugurated was a newly built 100-bed ST Girls’ Hostel at Sabroom Girls’ Higher Secondary School. Several other projects were inaugurated virtually by the Chief Minister.

Dr. Saha noted that between January and June 2025, he alone inaugurated or laid the foundation stones for projects worth ₹612 crore across the state.

He further added that the government is giving priority to school infrastructure. In 2024, new buildings were constructed in 44 schools at a cost of ₹153 crore, while ₹81 crore was spent on renovating 346 schools. For 2025–26, ₹264 crore has been allocated for constructing new buildings in 30 more schools. “We want our children to study in a safe and encouraging environment,” Dr. Saha said.

The inaugurated projects include six new school buildings, seven Tehsil offices, three tribal hostels, and three health centers across Belonia, Santirbazar, Sabroom, and other parts of the district.

The event was also attended by Minister for Cooperation Shukla Charan Noatia, South Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Dipak Dutta, and other senior officials and local representatives.
