In response to these allegations, Minister Debbarma acknowledged owning multiple properties during a press conference. This admission has intensified the political debate, with various media outlets covering the story extensively.

On Friday, the state BJP organized a protest march to counter the opposition’s claims. During the march, Minister Debbarma was seen actively participating, waving the party flag and chanting slogans against MLA Sudip Roy Burman. Despite his efforts, few others joined him in these specific chants, highlighting the tension between the two politicians.
