Agartala: Jan 04: One of the goals of the current state government is to make Tripura the best in the country in every field including health, education, and communication. So the government is working for public welfare while maintaining peace and harmony in Tripura. Various government facilities are reaching the last person of the society. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said this while unveiling the report card of the state government along with booklet containing report on development and success of Tripura at Rabindra Bhaban today.According to him, the current Tripura government promised to present its success report to the public. The government has managed to keep its promise today. The current Tripura government has done so much developmental work that it is very difficult to prepare a detailed report card. Therefore, the State Government’s Planning Department has attempted to capture the success of several key areas in a concise report card.On this day, the Chief Minister said that the Tripura government is working for the overall welfare of the people in the vision of the Prime Minister of the country. Tripura government has achieved incredible success in every field from communication system to health and education. Tripura Government has also received various awards from the Central Government for its achievements.He claimed that with the sincere cooperation of the central government, the construction of 6 national highways is going on for the development of Tripura’s communication system. The central government has allocated Tk 10,222 crores for conversion of Assam-Agartala National Highway (NH-8) to four lanes along with construction of 7 more national highways. Also approval has been received for construction of 4 ropeways in Tripura.He also added that Tripura has now become the third strongest state in terms of internet services. As a result of the development of internet services, various information of the country and abroad has come to the hands of Tripura. As a result of the development of rail communication system, about 11 express trains are currently plying between different states from Agartala. Besides, work is going on to make the Agartala railway station one of the most modern railway stations in the country. Like many other states, a request has been made to the central government to start intercity rail in our state, which has also been approved in principle by the central government.He said that the current Tripura government is working sincerely to alleviate the sufferings of the people. Agartala Government Medical College has introduced 9 super specialty services to improve the health system of Tripura.
