According to a school teacher, students residing in the Maharaja Bir Bikram Welfare Society hostel suddenly experienced vomiting and stomach pain upon arriving at school. Four ambulances were dispatched to the scene, rescuing the students and transporting them to GB Hospital. However, the exact cause of their illness remains unknown, although it is believed to be linked to the hostel food.

One student reported having consumed dal-bhat (lentils and rice) for breakfast before heading to school for an exam. A concerned guardian highlighted the poor quality of food served at the hostel, emphasizing that students are not receiving nutritious meals.

Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha acknowledged the incident on social media, assuring that the government is treating the matter seriously. GB Hospital authorities have been directed to provide optimal care, while administrative officials continue their investigation.
