Agartala, May 11: In a press conference held on Sunday, BJP state spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty responded to accusations leveled by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM). Chakraborty asserted that the communists were sowing confusion among the public, attempting to influence the narrative with falsehoods.

According to Chakraborty, the state is currently experiencing positive momentum, with citizens embracing an optimistic outlook. He emphasized that the development government is actively working across various sectors, propelling the state forward.

Refuting claims made by CPM state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury, Chakraborty addressed the severe shortage of petroleum products. He attributed this crisis to natural calamities and assured that Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha has taken swift action by engaging with the Union Minister. Repairs to damaged roads in Assam have already been completed, and railways have entered Petropanya state. The spokesperson confidently stated that the petrol problem would be entirely resolved by Monday.

Regarding the Left’s previous attempt to build a buffer stock in the state, Chakraborty acknowledged its failure. However, he announced plans for the state government to construct a buffer stock in the Sekerkot area within the next year, permanently addressing the shortage of petrol and diesel.

Chakraborty also responded to queries about the “diamond model,” asserting that the Left lacks an understanding of this concept. He highlighted the state’s transformation under this model, emphasizing that positive changes are underway.
