Agartala, June 17: A major landslide has occurred at Tipra Matha. Together 13 top leaders of Tipra Motha joined BJP today demanding work for people. They were received by the state president Rajeev Bhattacharjee at the party headquarters. BJP Janjati Morcha president and minister Bikas Debbarma and MP Rebati Tripura were also present. There is no denying that the BJP’s raid on the home of the main opposition party in the state will naturally worry Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman.

Nandan Nagar: Ex-SPO Held on Threat Charges

Biching Debbarma, a senior leader of Tipra Motha who joined the BJP, said, “I left the party to work for the people.” Today I left Tipra Motha and joined BJP. He alleged that Tipra Motha was running the ADC. But, according to the rules, nothing is happening there. With his statement, the demand for Greater Tipraland has constitutional validity. But, there are doubts about that factual basis, can’t be sure if the people of Janjati section will benefit at all in fulfilling that demand. So, today I left Tipra Motha and joined BJP.

Welcoming them, BJP state president Rajeev Bhattacharya said, we always give priority to the development of the nation. Because of that trust in BJP, 13 leaders left Tipra Motha and joined the BJP camp.
