World Tobacco Day: World Tobacco Day is celebrated in Tripura

Every year since 1987, May 31 is celebrated as World Anti-Takam Day This time was no exception The day is celebrated with due dignity in the state as well as across the world

On World Anti-Tobacco Day 2023, ‘Volunteer Health Association of Tripura’ organized an awareness procession with the slogan ‘We want food, not tobacco’. Through which awareness has been increased among people The procession left in front of the Rabindra Centenary Building and circumambulated the various streets of the city and ended in front of the Ujjayant Palace.

Consumption of tobacco products can cause various diseases in the body Among the northeastern regions, Tripura has the highest consumption of tobacco products That is why the procession has been organized with the call to stop smoking, said prominent people of the Volunteer Association of Tripura.
