West Agartala police arrested four people in connection with the theft

Agartala July 16: Police of West Agartala police station managed to nab four people with stolen laptop and bike based on tip-off. On Sunday, the police officer of Sadar sub-division told reporters at West Agartala police station that a lawyer’s laptop was stolen from Banerjee Para area of the capital 15 days ago. The police investigated the incident and found out that the laptop thief Amrit Debbarma was staying in Teliamura. Accordingly, the thief was arrested.

After interrogating him, the police learned that the stolen laptop was sold to Rakesh Debnath of Hejamara area. Accordingly the laptop was recovered. Rakesh Debnath was also arrested. On the other hand, a bike was stolen from Battala area on Saturday evening. As soon as the incident was reported, the police rushed to the ground. And Subhash Rudrapal of Melaghar was arrested with the stolen bike from the area adjacent to Battala Crematorium. At the same time, Akash Roy of Camp Bazar was arrested for planning to steal another bike. After questioning them, several other stolen bikes were revealed. An attempt will be made to recover those bikes, said the Sadar Divisional Police Officer. Police will hand over the arrested four people to the court on Monday.
