Agartala: July 28: A worker died tragically when the old wall collapsed. In that incident, the entire Kamalpur area has spread sensation. Co-workers witnessed the incident and informed the fire brigade. The firemen rescued the injured worker and took him to Bimal Singh Memorial Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him brought dead.
Some of the colleagues said that 4 workers were engaged in breaking the old wall under the contractor in Kamalpur Krishnachandra Class XII Girls’ School. Ambassa resident Chandrakanta Tripura (28) went to break the old wall this morning. Suddenly the wall collapses on him. Colleagues immediately alerted the fire brigade. With the help of firemen, Chandrakanta was rescued from under the wall and taken to Bimal Singh Memorial Hospital. But the doctor on duty at the hospital declared him dead.
He also said that his brother was also working together under the contractor. As the news of the death spread, the whole Ambasa area fell into mourning.
